There are several stages to this exam. Math (10th Grade), Logical Reasoning, English Grammar, Gujarati Grammar, Current Affairs, History, Geography, and General Knowledge about Tourism are all worth 100 marks in Phase-A. Phase-B is a post-wise relevant topic area question paper with 100 marks. There will be 0.25 negative marks for each incorrect answer and each unattempted question.

Gujarat Tourism Syllabus 2025 Exam Pattern

  1. The test will be divided into two phases: Phase A and Phase B, with English as the medium of instruction.
  2. Gujarati will be used to answer questions on the Gujarati language.

Phase A

  • Maths (10th Level): 10 Marks
  • Logical Reasoning:  10 Marks
  • English Grammar:   10 Marks
  • Gujarati Grammar:  10 Marks
  • Current Affairs: 10 Marks
  • History (Gujarat State):   10 Marks
  • Geography (Gujarat State):  10 Marks
  • General Knowledge about Tourism: 30 Marks

It will take 90 minutes to complete the exam.

The test is a type of objective test.

Phase B

100-question relevant subject domain question paper for each post worth 100 marks, as detailed below. There will be one mark for each question and a 0.25 negative marking for each incorrect response and unattempted question. For negative marking, there will be no rounding.

  • Phase B will have a 50 percent cut-off mark.
  • On the basis of the combined marks from Phases A and B, a merit list will be created, from which 7 candidates for the post will be called for document verification.
  • Candidates will be responsible for their own expenses when taking the exam, and there will be no compensation.
  • Candidates who are called for an examination cannot claim to have been chosen.
